Prestige has decided to recall Deco 1.5L Cordless Dome Kettles, which
were manufactured between (1206) and (1107). This recall relates to
specific batches of this particular design and we emphasise that
no other Prestige kettles or other products are affected.
We have identified that, in a small number of cases, there is a risk of
product failure linked to defective heating elements in the affected
kettles. In isolated cases, this may result in sparks and a potential
fire risk.
If you own a Prestige Deco 1.5L Cordless Dome Kettle, please check
the four digit batch number located on the underside of the kettle. This
number has been inscribed into both the kettle and underside of the
base and represents the month and year of manufacture. The kettles
affected are codes from (1206) to (1107).
Owners of the affected kettles are asked to stop using the
kettle and contact the Prestige helpline for further
instructions.
Even if you have not experienced any problems with your product, we nevertheless ask you to contact the Prestige helpline.
